POST 8: English course review and self-evaluation
I think my experience with English classes at the university has been good;
they have been very interesting, very varied because they have applied
different strategies and methods to teach. The different teachers who have
touched me (I had to get out of English 1) have been very kind and are always
ready to answer all questions and doubts.
I liked the fact that they were close together because one is less
nervous, and that way you can record the classes, so you can go back to review
the material if there are doubts.
The U Course Platform is good for saving your material for the future, and
it's also a good way to organize everything.
Outside of class, I have very little contact with English, almost
nothing, if it weren't for the fact that I watch movies and series in English
(but with subtitles, I still can't understand without subtitles). I still have
a lot to learn, especially to be confident, because I can't carry on a
conversation, I think a lot about each word, although in Spanish I still find
it difficult to talk to people, it is more so. In other language.
It also happens to me that I think a lot about what to say when I speak English, but I think the only way to cope is to practice and keep practicing. You can do it Sofia!
