POST 8: English course review and self-evaluation

I think my experience with English classes at the university has been good; they have been very interesting, very varied because they have applied different strategies and methods to teach. The different teachers who have touched me (I had to get out of English 1) have been very kind and are always ready to answer all questions and doubts. I liked the fact that they were close together because one is less nervous, and that way you can record the classes, so you can go back to review the material if there are doubts. The U Course Platform is good for saving your material for the future, and it's also a good way to organize everything. Outside of class, I have very little contact with English, almost nothing, if it weren't for the fact that I watch movies and series in English (but with subtitles, I still can't understand without subtitles). I still have a lot to learn, especially to be confident, because I can't carry on a conversation, I think a lot about each w...

POST 7: Changes to my study programme

I study theatrical acting. It is located at 750 Morande Street, it is the theater department, we are apart from the art faculty, in this building there are only two theatrical acting majors and the theatrical design degree. To tell the truth, I have quite liked the bouquets I have had, despite the fact that they have mostly been for zoom, which makes me believe that they must be much better in person, since the subjects are actually designed. But changes that I would like, that in fact I knew I needed before entering university, because the students mobilized for the same reason, they are with regard to infrastructure. This is quite precarious, it is not well maintained, for example there are leaks, the floor is broken (we work barefoot, which causes injuries), it is too hot, etc. In addition, it is very small, now with the pandemic this factor has been accentuated more, because we need even more space due to distancing, but we work with being present in a group. These are c...

POST 6: Time travel to the future

Travel to the future? I don't think I would like to travel to the future. In school they made us think about what we thought we would be in 10 years, and I always had a hard time imagining it. Thinking about what the future will be like gives me anxiety, I like to live in the now, to be in the present. In fact, what I study (acting, theater) is a lot of that, of being attentive in the now, in what is happening, which is quite difficult because culturally we are used to thinking about the later and we do not know how to enjoy and value what's happening. What we are living. Also in the future it is very likely that many of the people I love will no longer be in this life. I would only like to travel to the future if in this I can see something beautiful or happy in my life, otherwise it would be something that I would not enjoy knowing then, how do you continue living if you discover something that you are going to do? Have a bad time? Well, I would live trying not to happen ...

POST 5: A JOB YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IN THE FUTURE

Imagen
In the near future I would like to work as an elf, one of those who are accompanying Santa Claus, I have seen them in the shopping malls. Before the pandemic, they used to put Christmas trees in shopping malls. and there is a period when they bring Santa Claus with his helper elves. then the passing children line up to tell him what they want for Christmas. Since I am a woman and young, I can hardly be Santa Claus, but I can be an elf. In fact, it's an idea that occurred to me recently. I do not know why I would like it, since I am not at all friendly with children. But they catch my attention a lot. In fact, in the past I have worked animating children's birthdays, and I think I have done well, because I had good recommendations, although I do not have such an affinity with children. I think what I like is to wear a wardrobe outside of everyday life, which shouldn't be so monotonous because different people come every day, which alters events, it only lasts a few w...

POST 4: YOUR FAVORITE SERIES, SHOW OR MOVIE

Imagen
I chose to talk about my favorite movie. In fact, it was the first movie that came to mind. I mention this because I do not have favorite things, there is so much to choose from, that I do not think that only one thing you can like above the rest In this blog I will speak as my favorite movie "Coco". It is a computer-animated film, produced by Pixar Animation. It is a childish and comedy genre. It premiered in 2017, directed by Adrián Molina and Lee Unkrich. "Coco" takes place in the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead, where Miguel, a twelve-year-old boy is accidentally transported to the world of the dead, where he seeks help to find his great-great-grandfather who is a deceased musician, and then return with his family of the living and eliminate the prohibition that it imposes on its members to play music. The first time I saw her was in the cinema, I don't remember the date, but since the movies are in the cinema for a short time, I suppose i...

POST 3: AN ARTIST THAT INSPIRES YOU

Imagen
Monserrat Bustamante, better known as Mon Laferte, is a Chilean singer-songwriter, musician and composer. He was born on May 2, 1983 in Viña del Mar Chile. He is 38 years old. Play different instruments, such as guitar, piano, drums, electric bass, and harmonica. In 2003 he appeared for the first time on Chilean television, on the talent search program “Rojo Fama Contrafama” . Then he resigned and went to live in Mexico. He has won eleven awards at the Latin Grammys. It is characterized by being influenced by different musical genres, such as ballads, pop rock, boleros, cumbia, etc. She is an artist who is always attentive to the social context, which according to me is the right thing to do. Express your opinion through your music, social networks. She inspires me because I identify myself, she is a woman, Chilean, and she was not born in a golden cradle and advanced in art without having to sell herself, at least it shows. I don't know what my favorite artwork is. To sa...

POST 2: THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER

Imagen
One of my best vacations was, what here they call a study trip, it is a trip that you do with your classmates. My trip was in December 2016, I was in second grade. I went to Argentine Bariloche and places in southern Chile (Puerto Varas, Frutillar, and Valdivia). It was my first trip without a family. The trip lasted 8 days, it was not very long. I attended a girls' school. On this trip I made friends, ties that last to this day. We stayed in a hotel in Bariloche. And in the south of Chile in cabins, which had a view of the lake, the view was beautiful. We went out to see different places, we went zip-lining, we climbed hills, we saw waterfalls, we bathed in lakes and swimming pools, we did group sports competitions, w e visit an ice house, we ride a boat,  we also partied almost every night, we slept very little, today I do not understand how we had so much energy. I don't know if it has been the best trip so far, but I remember it with great joy and affection, it ...
